The Baku Oil Factory was established on December 27, 1997, under the name "Caspian Vegetable Ghee Factory" with the participation of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
In 2011, a project was launched to relocate the Baku Oil Factory to the Azersun Industrial Park and to renovate it.
On February 25, 2014, the "Baku Food and Oil Factory" was officially opened in the Azersun Industrial Park with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
The factory produces high-quality edible oils with an annual production capacity of 270,000 tons using "touch-free" technology. The technological equipment at the factory is from Germany, Italy, and France. The plant is equipped with modern deodorization and ventilation systems that ensure the processing of the highest quality vegetable oils without harming the environment.
The factory produces corn oil, sunflower oil, olive oil, cottonseed oil, butter, spreads, margarine, industrial oils used in confectionery products, clarified vegetable oils, butter added clarified, mayonnaise, ketchup, and sauces under the brands "Zeytun Baglari", "Bizim Sufre", "Final", "Mocuze", "Gulum", "Bizim Asbaz", "Supersun", "Yurdum", "Evim", "Teksun", "Vega", and "Kerem". "Azersun Holding" is also a partner and supplier of oils for globally recognized fast-food chains.
The products of the "Baku Food and Oil Factory" are exported to Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and other countries.
