To this end, "Baku Food and Oil Factory" commits to adhering to the following principles:
- Compliance with applicable national and international legal requirements, obligations to the company's stakeholders (parties with a legitimate interest and/or affected by the company's activities), and relevant standards.
- A complete ban on child labor, as well as a commitment to eliminate this form of labor if it is used by suppliers, subcontractors, or sub-suppliers.
- Prohibition of hiring underage workers and/or minors who are legally required to attend school.
- Rejection of any working conditions that could be considered inhumane, exploitative, discriminatory, or unsanitary.
- Ensuring the freedom for every worker to form or join trade unions and the right to engage in collective bargaining.
- Guaranteeing fair wages sufficient to meet the basic needs of all employees.
- Adherence to laws and industry standards regarding working hours, public holidays, and leave.
- Guaranteeing equal opportunities for workers regardless of race, social status, nationality, religion, disability, gender, and rejecting any form of discrimination in hiring, pay, training, promotions, dismissal, or retirement. Discrimination based on orientation, family responsibilities, health status, union membership, political beliefs, age, or any other reasons is also prohibited.
- A commitment to ensuring the availability, control, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and providing accurate safety information to all employees in the workplace for various reasons.
- Ensuring professional growth, training, motivation, and empowerment of employees at all levels so that the company is managed by qualified and responsible professionals.
- A commitment to maintaining employee engagement and continuous consultations with them through trade unions and health and safety representatives.
- Utilizing suppliers who can offer products and services that align with the company's ethical, environmental, and safety goals.
- Taking effective measures to ensure healthy and safe working conditions, protect employees' well-being, and prevent accidents and health damage during work at the enterprise.
